Fruits of Our Labor
Well, I didn't really labor that hard for this one. I bought a fig tree this year and it came with a few green figs on it already.
The vegetable garden was a lot of work but it's finally paying off. Here's a photo of it...looking a little stressed in the hot, Tennessee sunshine. No tomatoes or cucumbers yet but we've been eating lettuce, peppers, summer squash, and zucchini, not to mention several herbs. Victor checks on the garden daily and gives a ripening report.

The Old Fishin' Hole
We found a little fishing hole near our house this weekend. This was the 'Free Fishing' day here in TN so I thought I might get a chance to fish a little myself...no chance! The kids were catching them faster than I could bait the hooks and untangle the lines. I did manage to drown a worm and catch one blue gill before we left. BTW, not all of the fish were this little!
