Backpacking with the Scouts



Talia and I went backpacking for the first time last weekend. We went to a fantastic state park called South Cumberland State Recreation Area, only about 1-1/2 hours away. This is definitely a place worth returning to.....beautiful scenery and unspoiled forests. Talia's Girl Scout troop was going with a Boy Scout troop so I thought I might tag along!

What a beautiful view!!! Is that actually blue skies that I see, it has been so long since we've seen the sun in Michigan I can't remember what a blue sky looks like.
Although, the colors are beautiful right now.
